My Review
M.C. is a little cancer cell that teaches children all about cancer and how they can learn to talk about it. When a loved one is diagnosed with cancer, young children can have many incorrect reactions. They might be filled with fear, confusion, or sadness.
This little book introduces a young child to what cancer tries to do. The best part of this book is how it can reassure a child. M.C. invites children to talk about cancer, draw or write about their feelings, and to let the feelings out in a healthy way.
Today is the first day of my cancer treatment so I can happily promote this book to help any child feel mentally healthy if their loved-one has cancer.
Lisa, What a timely read as you embark on your own cancer journey. I wish you many moments of epiphanies about the value of life 🙂 If you have a chance to read this book to a child who loves you, I would LOVE a photo or video testimonial from the child. Thank you for your personal and thoughtful response. Everyone’s feelings matter!
My children are grown and grandchildren are just tots. But if I read it to them, I’ll certainly take a picture. Thank you.
