My Review
Children love stories, especially if they’re true. When you can tell a child that this story is real, they will light up and be more eager to hear it. We all love to tell our children stories with a happy ending, but sometimes it’s hard to tell them stories that are sad. This book starts with a sad plot: a poor puppy is left alone, tied to a fire hydrant with no one to care for him. But, fortunately for him, the fire department is just down the street and firefighters rescue him.
They take him in to the firehouse to live, feed him, and give him a nice bath. Now that he’s become a part of the firefighting team, he travels with the firefighters to teach children about how to prevent fires and to stay safe. He becomes famous with his own Facebook page and helps to raise money for abused animals. This book can help parents show that when we are caring and helpful, a sad story can be turned into a happy one.
