The Mediterranean Diet Cookbook: 500 Wholesome Recipes for Healthy Eating and Weight Loss is authored by Michelle Moreno. This is a huge collection of recipes. All categories are covered for a complete diet.
The author covers an introduction to the Mediterranean Diet and what you should eat. There are charts to also show the reader things that can be eaten moderately and also things to avoid in the diet.
The Top 10 Tips for succeeding on the diet are helpful. Starting a diet is a big challenge and the author gives wise advice. I especially like the second tip: Make the Changes Gradual. Often, a new dieter will fail because they go all in and it’s too much of an adjustment.
The Chapter Categories include:
- Breakfast Recipes
- Antipasti and Tapas
- Soups
- Salads
- Rice and Grains
- Beans
- Vegetables
- Fish and Seafood
- Poultry and Meat
- Bread and Pizzas
- Desserts
I’m impressed with the delicious looking recipes! The Mediterranean Diet seems like the best one to follow. It is flexible and offers a diet without leaving out entire food groups. This diet focuses on vegetables as the largest portion of each meal. The recipes all appeared to be low-to-moderate in difficulty to cook.
This type of diet is what my doctor has recommended for me. It is great for overall health, weight control, and heart health. I’ll be enjoying many of these recipes. I think you would enjoy them, too.
The 139-page book is available on Kindle and Paperback. I reviewed the Kindle format.
