Meet the Author:

For twenty-six years C.S. McDonald’s life whirled around a song and a dance. My Review

This is my second book to read in The Owl’s Nest Mysteries. I love Cozy Mysteries and this one is a fun read. Alexa is just a lovely wedding apparel retailer who happens to live in a home that’s haunted. The friendly spirit is Bobby, who visits to get help in solving a very cold case. Bobby was a policeman who left a few cases unsolved. In order to make things right with “St Peter” he comes to ask Alexa for assistance.

To solve the case, they must do a little time travel. Alexa has done this before and is used to the trips, but this time Bobby brings along a real problem……Maxi. She’s not friendly and not nice. This case has all the bad guys and mobsters. But, you’ll never see coming what will happen in the end!

Author Bio
Keith is British and was born in the United Kingdom; grew up playing the horn in Brass Bands, and earned pocket money delivering newspapers. Between leaving school and taking up his apprenticeship in carpentry, Keith sold ice cream at a drive-in tourist park.

Discovering construction sites involved working in the wind and rain, which he hated, Keith opened a joinery workshop. He ran this until becoming a college lecturer ten years later.

Over the following twenty years, he steadily rose through the ranks, ending up as an Assistant Principal at a large college of further & higher education in Norfolk.

Now retired, Keith divides his time between writing, volunteering for the National Trust and helping child-mind his two youngest grandchildren. However, his wife calls into question Keith’s definition of ‘helping’.

I don’t have favorites among my books. All were written because a character or an idea intrigued me and I had to write the book to discover the ending. But if pressed, I suppose I would choose The Forgiving Hour. Although it was my 31^st book, it was my first where I could write plainly about my Christian faith. It was also my first contemporary story and my first hardcover release. Portions of the novel were born from my own life and the lessons God had taught me through hardship. That book launched a whole new career for me and set my feet on a better path.
Although I don’t spend a lot of time on any of my hobbies, I enjoy Bible art journaling, knitting, and painting. I’m also an amateur photographer (very amateur).
This is a hard question to answer without just sounding like a kook. But the truth is, characters just sort of “walk up” and introduce themselves to me. It often starts with a name. When I hit upon the right name, I begin to see the character. I begin to explore their pasts, and before I know it, they have become “real” to me.
Absolutely. I grew up in a home where my grandmother, my widowed mom, and my older brother were always reading. So, when I went to school my first day, I went for one reason: to learn to read. I was very unhappy when I came home and hadn’t already learned how. I still own a few of my grade school purchases through Scholastic Books. They are yellowed, brittle, and fragile, but I still have them.

Robin Lee Hatcher is the author of over 80 novels and novellas with over five million copies of her books in print. She is known for her heartwarming and emotionally charged stories of faith, courage, and love. Her numerous awards include the RITA Award, the Carol Award, the Christy Award, the HOLT Medallion, the National Reader’s Choice Award, and the Faith, Hope & Love Reader’s Choice Award.
