My Review
Cleo is a delightfully cheerful little girl. She loves pink and she loves bows! In her bedroom bows can be found all over the place, on her curtains, her pillows, lamp, and more. She loves to wear bows on her clothes and in her hair. She has a favorite story that helps her remember how to properly tie a bow. Because many children have trouble learning to tie a bow, Cleo is happy to share it with us all.
The story is about a rabbit who has very long ears. The ears drag the ground and get dirty as she hops around the forest. One day a fox came along and the rabbit was afraid. But, this was a kind and helpful fox. He noticed the rabbit’s ear problem and offered to help. He taught the rabbit how to tie her ears into a bow. This kept the ears clean and the rabbit and fox celebrated with a forest picnic.
I love how the book uses a story within a story to teach children how to do something without making it seem like a lesson. Children can have trouble learning to tie bows or shoelaces. It can be so helpful to make it fun instead of a chore. The book also teaches a song to go along with the steps to follow when tying a bow. The charming illustrations and Cleo’s positive personality will go a long way in helping children try something new.
