Most books about mindfulness are geared toward grown-ups, but this is a journal for kids. I reviewed an e-copy of the book, but using a print copy will be perfect for young people. They will be able to fill in the empty spaces and follow the instructions to be on their way to understanding their brain and making it work better for them.
The book teaches kids the parts of the brain and what each part can do. Once the child understands the function of the brain, they will learn how to use it to help themselves. There are affirmations and graphic organizers. The bright and happy illustrations are modern and fun. The Mindfulness Toolbox gives the child training in self-control and activities of all types. If your child is looking to be more Zen, this is the book for them.
