Have you ever been to an escape room? I’m sure that this one is beyond any thing out there. This story is of a highly gifted young woman, who has escaped her opportunity for a big career and instead, has a puzzle shop. She loves her job and is thankful that she moved back to her hometown.
She is the heir to a huge old house and doesn’t want to leave it. Years ago her father had disappeared. He was pronounced dead, but Demi was not accepting the death. She believed that her dad was still alive.
A man named Liam came into her bookstore looking for his sister. She had mysteriously left and couldn’t be found anywhere. He began searching for her in the town. He and Demi seemed to have many of the same interests, and he asked her to visit an escape room with him.
They had heard of an escape room that sounded like it was one of the most difficult. They knocked and knocked on the door. Eventually an old woman came to the door and invited them in. They were soon locked in the escape room.
This room wasn’t a one and only room to escape. There were very difficult clues, but each one opened them to another room. The clues became harder and then, dangerous. The couple became more and more wary as they begged to get out. They could have been killed at numerous times.
They began to worry if Liam’s sister had met her fate there. They didn’t know if they would eventually complete the escape or die trying. This book is very suspenseful and I didn’t want to stop reading, keeping myself up late at night to read. It’s definitely one that I recommend.
