Deborah Dillon - Author

Author Bio –

Deborah Dillon’s love of books, poems and story telling stems from her Granddad Jim who always used to make up stories at bedtime when she was young. Every story would take her to crazy worlds of adventure and friendship, each story sprinkled with a tiny bit of determination.

Since having children of her own Deborah has continued this family tradition but rather than keeping all the stories in her head, she decided to write them down. As her children were growing up she was inspired to write about whatever obstacles or challenges they, or their friends, faced then overcame.

Deborah is a firm believer that something magical happens when you read a book together.

My Review

When looking for children’s books to recommend, I start with books that have gorgeous illustrations. This book definitely has amazing illustrations. The colors and contrasts make for a magical type of picture that children will get lost in. The verse is also rhyming and a charming story. The little princess has long beautiful hair, but there’s something wrong with it. It’s filled with tangles. Her long curly hair gets so filled with knots that she dreads having anyone try to brush it out. So, she demands that everyone leave her hair alone. The king tells her that he’ll keep her crown from her until she gets the knots out. She feels so sad until a fairy shows up with a magic brush. Will the magic brush help her get rid of the knots? Will her father take away her crown for ever? Little girls will especially love this story book.
