Hopscotch isn’t your average detective. First, he’s a rescue dog. Second, he only has three legs. When his new, twin owners, Drew and Camilla, help their friend find his missing bike— and memories— Hopscotch tags along. The answer to their mystery will help the local police solve another investigation. But the answer also makes them primetargets for a criminal who’ll stop at nothing to escape. Hopscotch must catch the culprit, find the memories, and keep the twins safe. Otherwise, he risks being homeless . . . again.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I am an author, a mother (of two precious girls), an animal lover, and a world traveller. I love all things German, every pet in the world, and fuzzy socks.
My middle grade mystery, Hopscotch and the Case of the Missing Memories, debuts January 27, 2021
Hopscotch is a dog who tells this story about his adventure with his people, Camilla and Drew. These twins live with their dad, a local policeman. In their small town there is usually not much crime. But, there has been a robbery at the gas station where the twins like to stop for snacks and a free slushie.
Mr. Walker, the twin’s father, is very busy working long hours each day. The mother has died, and the children have a lot of time on their hands. They are trying to solve a mystery to help their friend Matt. He has lost his memories after the day of the robbery. Now he has a bruise on his head and can’t remember what happened.
Camilla and Drew want to help him find out what he has forgotten. Matt feels that he is in danger because someone in a red truck keeps following him. When the twins think they have clues that point to the criminal, their father brushes them off.
What will happen next? Will the twins solve the mystery of the missing memories? Middle grade readers will enjoy this case and find that they can’t put it down.
