MY REVIEW
Christian love stories are fun to read and clean, so you know that you’ll not be shocked with scenes that you didn’t expect. The characters in this book all end up facing the fact that they’re not as close to God as they want to be. Juliane and Lukas have met when they were in college, but it was not a good experience.
Lukas had been an alcoholic, just like Juliane’s father. She can’t think past her bad memories, even though he seems to have changed. She’s seen this act before and can’t let herself fall for a guy who will break her heart. The two of them are attracted to one another. The book has each character speak and you can quickly see what they are all about.
Juliane has a life that’s organized just the way she liked, so why did Lukas become a distraction. And why did her sister, Elise come back to live with her? Can Juliane overcome her jealousy of Elise and learn to give people a second chance at living a life that glorifies God?
I really enjoyed this quick read that makes a wonderful example of God’s grace and His plan.
