Carla Farfalla’s Extraordinary Tea Party by Angela McConkey
Inspire hope and joy in your young reader with the charming, decidedly un-ordinary Carla Farfalla and her extraordinary tea party! It includes three versions of a sugar cookie recipe that you can bake with them, too!
Carla Farfalla’s message is about HOPE. The book helps kids learn and appreciate the power of hope.
About the Author
I’ve loved reading since I was a young girl. My love for reading developed into a love for writing. My husband and I have a blended family of 5 great kids, their spouses, and 10 adorably awesome grandchildren, who are my inspiration. I’ve been called Noni since our first granddaughter was born 17 years ago.
Carla Farfalla’s Extraordinary Tea Party is my first published children’s early reader/picture book. I hope you enjoy her story.
Children’s books are known to be filled with enchanting illustrations, and this book is no different. The cute little girl, Carla, is going to bring a smile to each child that has this book read to them. Carla lives in a tree house, and has a very fun life. She has everything that a little girl would like to have. It’s time for her yearly tea party and she is anxious to invite her friends. As she decides what type of invitation to send out, her imagination runs wild!
She decides to put an invitation inside a balloon and tie it on each friend’s doorknob as a fun surprise. She goes to the store to get helium for her balloons. The 26 balloons are stronger than her small frame and she begins to float upwards. She has to let them go and it makes her so sad. How will she invite her friends now? Children will love the end of this sweet little book.
