MY REVIEW
Do you think much about your childhood home? We all have special places and memories of feeling loved. This book beautifully tells about a journey from childhood to adulthood through the breath-taking art of A Forest, A Family, A Harbor, A Home.
A young boy loves to be outdoors and visit with his grandparents. It appears that he’s in the northwest where many Japanese immigrated. We learn of his experiences as a child who loves to play in the woods and along paths near the Salish Sea. We find him picking mushrooms and seeing beautiful owls and birds. He rows his boat to see his grandparents.
A simple, meaningful life can be found when a child or adult has a loving place to return to.
The hardback copy I read had the best quality with heavy pages. I am loving this peaceful book with it’s gorgeous artwork.
