My Review
This YA Fantasy is an easy read and very imaginative. The whimsical illustrations are perfect for the story. The main characters are Butterfly Bee Lady and Bramley, the Bee. They strike up a unique friendship as they are both collecting pollen in the fields. Bee Lady isn’t a bee, but is a beautiful butterfly. After she places her eggs in a tree, she must leave. She entrusts her babies with Bramley. The Queen Bee releases Bramley from collecting pollen to now protecting the babies.
Bee Lady has an evil sister who doesn’t want the babies to survive. Bramley works hard one night to move the babies in their cocoons to a safe place. With the help of a bat and spider, Bramley keeps the evil sister and her dragonfly army away. But, now the evil sister has located their hiding place. Will they survive? Will the babies have a future? This is a very entertaining book.
